50% funding from NI SMART scheme, 50% from Clear Skies

   
Stated aim of project   This solar water heating scheme is the largest of its kind in Northern Ireland. All 29 units have Eco Homes accreditation and
  • Low energy consumption
  • High efficiency gas condensing boilers
  • Highly insulated
  • SAP rating 104 (NI rating is 52)
  • Double glazed timber frame windows (with timber from sustainable sources)
  • Water butts and recycling facilities
  • A rated white goods

Each house is fitted with a SWH panel which are orientable, allowing them to be south-facing for maximum output.
