| Stated aim of project |
|
This project involved the renovation of residential buildings with a focus on energy efficiency, the integration of renewable energy, sustainable/bioclimatic design and improved quality of life. The renovation was planned and performed in close co-operation with the tenants and included the following elements
1. Old windows are improved with low-E glass or replaced with new timber framed low-E windows.
2. New roofing and extra roof insulation.
3. Solar pre-heating of domestic hot water for all flats in the block.
4. Solar pre-heating of fresh air through glazed balconies.
5. Community greenhouse for all residents.
6. New laundries in connection with community greenhouses.
7. Composting and recycling replace conventional waste-system.
8. Extra insulation of walls exposed to wind.
9. Facades are painted.
10. Space heating, DHW and water are monitored for each apartment.
11. Heat recovery of ventilation air. |
