Stated aim of project   The aim of the Gallions Ecopark is to show how the UK social housing sector can contribute to environmental sustainability using the Dutch Green Financing model to drive the concepts, design and construction techniques. Part of the project’s aim is to demonstrate how these features can be replicated throughout the social and private housing sectors and integrated into construction practices throughout the UK. Ecopark is intended to demonstrate that sustainable living isn't something new and cutting-edge, needing a huge effort and an immense budget. The development’s 39 homes contain a combination of cost-effective and applied energy saving and sustainable principles.
