As a follow-up to the Conference on Social Housing and Structural Funds that which place in Brussels January 2007, CECODHAS has published a guide to housing projects within the regional policy of the EU for 2007-2013.

Considering the new opportunities given to social housing, be it the eligibility of housing expenditure for the EU-12 countries or the promotion of urban development actions in the EU-15, for which CECODHAS campaigned, it seemed necessary to give social housing providers as much information and advice as possible to enable them to design, propose and implement efficient housing projects with the support of the European Structural Funds as well as encourage them to further involve in the design and implementation of integrated urban development policies.

This is the raison d’être of this guide which is addressed not only to social housing providers but also to all the actors promoting sustainable urban development.

The guide will be first released at CECODHAS General Assembly at the end of May 2007 and will be available afterwards.
