The project Hous-es that has developed, through the URBACT I programme, a network of cities exchanging experience on managing and renewing large housing areas will hold its final conference in Brussels (Committee of the Regions) on November 7th and 8th.
This exchange of experience should aim to increase the overall quality of life in urban areas by:
1. increasing the quality of public space in deprived housing areas
2. creating a more mixed use of space (new commercial shops and service
areas, small scale business)
3. combating insecurity and facilitating social inclusion
The final conference will be the opportunity to launch the final product of the project: “ A regeneration tool kit”, namely a comprehensive instrument to be used in qualification process of urban regeneration projects (for local authorities, financial institutions, designers, etc.).
CECODHAS is associate partner of the Hous-es network.
