CECODHAS Joins Energy Efficiency Watch Initiative |

CECODHAS has become an official member of the Energy Efficiency Watch On-line community. The Energy Efficiency Watch was established by Members of the European Parliament to monitor progress in particular in the implementation of National Energy Efficiency Action Plans which the The Energy Efficiency and Energy Service Directive (ESD) requires each Member States to develop and implement.
The (ESD) requires Member States to achieve a reduction target in end-energy use of 9% by 2016, and therefore to submit three National Energy Efficiency Action Plans (NEEAPs) to show on how they are planning to reach that goal. This process is being evaluated by the European Commission. A review of the submitted plans has been carried by Energy Efficiency Watch and will be available on-line here.
