CECODHAS, the European Committee for Social Housing, is celebrating this year its 20th anniversary. 20 years of promotion of affordable housing for all in Europe. Linked to this element and as part of the French Presidency external events, we organise (in cooperation with USH, French National Housing Federation) a high-level conference in Paris on the present and future of social housing in Europe.
WHAT, WHERE, WHEN ?
A European conference (under French presidency of the European Union) on the socio-economic and territorial challenges linked to access to housing.
The purpose of this conference is to put key European decision makers, together with local leaders and practioners to reflect on the type of challenges Europe is facing in terms of housing and how those challenges could be overcome. The questions of flexicurity, mortgage crisis but also territorial governance will be the main topics.
The conference will take place in Paris City Hall ( Metro line 1 station “Hotel de Ville”) on 5th of November from 9:30 to 17:30.
WHO WILL SPEAK ?
Among confirmed speakers : Ms Christine Boutin, French Minister of Housing and Urban Development, M. Bertrand Delanoe, Mayor of Paris, Ms Annik Lambert, Secretary General of European Mortgage Federation, M. David Orr, President of CECODHAS and CEO of National Housing Federation (UK).
WHO SHOULD ATTEND ?
National, regional, local authorities, NGOs, tenants association, private developers… actors involved in policies and projects aiming at improving housing conditions, territorial governance and attractiveness
